Becoming a scholar in a school as exclusive as UA&P seemed like an impossible prospect at first. Surely, there were many more deserving students than me for such quality education. Yet, against the odds, I gained not one but two scholarship grants both within and outside the University. I am privileged to have been the catalyst for a close partnership between HERO Foundation and the University which now extends new opportunities to fellow military orphans seeking to make a difference. It is through such a stable financial base that I have so certainly immersed myself in the vibrant student culture of UA&P Dragons and the most pressing issues of our generation. For a scholar, every day is a test of commitment; a struggle of proving one’s self. It is by no means an easy road but that’s what makes it all the more interesting.
